RED Coalition Applauds Senate Passage of H.J. Res. 140, Continuing President Trump’s Domestic Production Agenda

WASHINGTONThe Restoring Energy Dominance Coalition (RED Coalition), a conservative nonprofit organization that supports President Trump’s America First energy agenda, today issued a statement praising Senate passage of a congressional review act resolution, H.J. Res. 140.

Dan Brouillette, senior advisor to the RED Coalition and former U.S. Secretary of Energy, said:

“The Biden administration's politically motivated mining ban was exactly the kind of short-sighted decision that handed our adversaries an advantage and left our allies wondering whether America was serious about securing its own resources. Today, Congressional Republicans set the record straight by passing H.J. Res. 140, a bill that reverses Biden's mining ban and delivers a win for President Trump’s America First energy agenda. The RED Coalition thanks Majority Leader John Thune and Rep. Pete Stauber for prioritizing domestic critical minerals production and we look forward to the President signing H.J. Res. 140 into law.”

The Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution, H.J. Res 140, lifts a Biden-era ban on mining in one of the most critical mineral-rich areas in the nation. Reversing the ban, which the Trump Administration supports, allows projects in the region to pursue federal and state permits and unleash American production, while preserving environmental review processes.BACKGROUND
